Crustal is a mineral product based on European chalk. It is supplied in powder form and mixed with water on site. As a result it is VOC-free, which is important for the environment and for our health. Crustal is a forgiving decorative plaster. Coarser substrates can be beautifully finished because Crustal’s own structure conceals the rougher substrate. This structure also means that minor ‘blemishes’ in walls can be neatly eliminated.
Crustal is a highly versatile decorative finish for walls. It can create both a smooth, chalky-matte plaster and a rough, natural appearance. The slow drying time allows for a calm working process on an authentic wall decoration that is also impact-resistant. Crustal thus offers the perfect solution for blending any style with raw organic elements.
Crustal can be mixed with pigment (2.5-7.5% pigment). Please mix the pigment in water before adding the Crustal powder. Mix mechanically for 3-5 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. If necessary, add additional water depending on the technique. If needed, mix again or add a little water and mix again.
